and I would add to tennismaniacc’s opinion that gere in Bulgaria everybody studies English as a second language and most of the world’s songs come from the USA and are in English.
this is absolutely not true, (proudt0be)…there is alot of bulgarian songs that can show one’s voice.. and they are even more difficult than the english ones, it really depends on the person, they choose whatever they want to sing it has nothing to do with a some kind of phenomenon..
mamamialova, it’s true that most of them sing in english. My explanation is that they want to impress the jury so they choose songs that can show their voices in the best highlight. There are a lot more English songs than Bulgarian one which suit the candidates’ voices and show their abilities.
I am asking an honest question…i live in the United States and am a singer My grandparents came from Italy but i have lived her all my life…if I lived in your country i would sing in Bulgarian…mainly..but i notice they like singing in English…why is that..? Help me understand this phenomena…I have sung a few other songs in my life in Spanish, Italian and French…but i sing many in my present country’s native language.
